"I believe that this proposition could have a very adverse effect on California by driving both businesses and jobs out of the state. "Proposition 211 could add $1.5 billion annually to the cost of doing business in California, according to the nonpartisan Law and Economics Consulting Group.
"It also could add $7.2 million annually to the cost of operating the California judiciary. It would create a lawsuit environment in California that could send many high-tech companies to other states, costing California jobs."
