Frontier 5: Outliner Menu

The Outliner Menu.

Many of Frontier's windows are actually outlines. This includes scripts, menubars, the object database browser, and of course outline windows. The commands in this menu operate on all of these types of outlines.

Expand

Expands the child lines one level of indent below the selected parent.

Expand All Subheads

Fully expands all levels of the child lines of a selected parent.

Expand Everything

Fully expands all lines.

Collapse

Collapses all the child lines of a selected parent.

Collapse Everything

Collapses all of the lines to the top level parent lines of the outline hierarchy.

Collapse To Parent

Collapses all child lines to the selected parent.

Toggle Comment (control-\)

Toggles a line between being a commented or non-commented line, indicated by the chevron character.

Move Up (control-U)

Moves the selected line (and all its child lines) one line up.

Move Down (control-D)

Moves the selected line (and all its child lines) one line down.

Move Left (control-L)

Moves the selected line (and all its child lines) one indent to the left. This may cause the line to move jump to the next available slot at the next higher level of indentation.

Move Right (control-R)

Moves the selected line (and all its child lines) one indent to the right.

Make First

Moves the current line to top of its bundle.

Make Last

Moves the current line to bottom of its bundle.

Promote (control-])

The bundle of lines below the current line will be moved one indent to the right.

Demote (control-[)

All lines within a bundle and below current line will move one indent to the right.

Sort

All lines within the current bundle will be sorted alphabetically.

Delete All Sub-Heads

All sub-items to the current line will be deleted. Warning: this can't be undone.
